Assembling and Mailing Invitations
It's a good idea to have your return address on the flap of the outer envelope
in case the invitation is undeliverable. The return address may be written or
printed.
Mailing Your Invitations
- Paneled and non-paneled invitations, fold once so lettering is visible.
Fancy embossed invitations, fold once with lettering inside. Large French fold invitations require two folds and page one should be on the outside.
- Place tissue over lettering.
- Insert sheet in the ungummed inside envelope as shown, with the fold down.
- If enclosure cards are used, place face down on tissue and insert in envelope with the sheet.
- Address ungummed inside envelope with name only and insert it in outside envelope. The name in the inside envelope should face the back of the outside envelope.
All invitations are sent out at one time, four to six weeks in advance of the
ceremony, and always with first class postage. Announcements are mailed immediately after the ceremony, on the same day if possible. These are sent only to those who were
not invited to the wedding.
